Good Grief! There’s No Escaping “WOKE”!

I thought I was going to watch one of those pleasant family holiday movies. Well, it was pleasant, it was for family viewing (no f-word, no JC, no GD, no caca, etc. which are so prevalent in every damn movie today) and it was a holiday movie.

But, come on! The king’s subjects asking for universal healthcare; followed by “How about a living wage?” when he asked what was missing in the kingdom! Oh, they made sure there was at least one of every skin type. Also a hint of 2 lesbians due to an elf witch crying about someone leaving and not saying “Good-Bye” while gnawing at her knuckles.

This is pure indoctrination of children. Stick “woke” in a kid’s movie and the seed is planted. Barf! 🤢

I despise wokeness as much as anybody, but I wouldn't say a desire for universal healthcare or a living wage falls into that category.

Wokeness is narrower subset of Leftism that is focused on racial, gender and sexual concerns.

That said, while I somewhat enjoyed it, the movie DOES have some overt Leftist messaging.

Maybe not “woke”, but definitely leftist. This is a family movie about the beginnings of Santa Claus and that scene was for indoctrination of children. The scene didn’t belong in this genre of movies. BTW, the hint of lesbianism was “woke”.

I didn't catch the lesbianism bit but I'll take your word for it.

I also caught the line from the villain witch lady where she said that she campaigned against humans under the slogan "Elves for Elves." That's certainly a jab at conservatives who want to protect their borders and who think that a nation's own citizens should be put first.

You got it! It was the villain witch who was biting her knuckles when talking about Nicklas’s mother leaving. She “loved her so much”!

You’re probably right. I didn’t pick up on it though, and therefore I doubt any kids would.

If they had a flashback with a satanic lesbian kiss that would be an issue.
