Commentary on Contemporary Ethics

I find the stylistic choices in Splice interesting in regards to the clothes the main characters wear, the art on their walls, and their overall attitudes. I think this was intentional to criticize youth culture. After all, the film is about the most unethical choices a couple of young scientists could possibly make regarding human genetic experimentation. Be it the result of web culture, social media or whatever it may be, I often feel this way about younger generations. Their moral compass is completely fuc%ed up.

Whilst I agree with you that the film is primarily

... about the most unethical choices a couple of young scientists could possibly make regarding human genetic experimentation.
...I don't think it's critical of youth culture in general. It's more about a pair of scientists who totally confuse and misalign their scientific, commercial and personal interests, with predictable results.🐭
