why is this film getting hated on so much ? i don't watch that many indian films but i'm glad i saw this one so many unexpected twists and turns it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time !

I actually know a lot of people that loved this movie. It's just the users on imdb that didn't like it.
I guess people just prefer unfunny, unentertaining films like Om Shanti Om rather than unpredictable films like Race.

this movie really blew, from the placing of bombs in anyones car, to the "unfunny" anil kapoor (the directors mustve have been looking for some humour and said...oh lets have this cop who keeps eating fruits!) to the shoddy action, horrible screenplay and the whole "actually mera plan chal raha tha" and the the other brother is like "nehi mera plan chall raha tha" for like 60 times over...and just when u think its over, they cant even let the movie unravel, instead saif has to get a drink and sit and explain that how actually "mera plan chal raha tha".
Music was horrible except for the atif aslam song; which was bodering on decent. none of the songs were warranted and zara zara touch me touch me gets the award for the most off-turning song ever.
no need for the stupid horses or sameera reddy, just a bad bad movie all in all.
Sameera Reddy had a pointless role & Anil Kapoor was annoying.

Well, if you see the comments, most negative comments are from outside India (ie the "NRIs" probably), who are so much used to bollywood bashing.
I mean if they are so offended by bollywood movies, cant they do everyone a favor by not watching it.
Ofcourse unless it stars srk. have you noticed those dumb romances from srk, karan johar, yash chopra collects big overseas.
if you want other people to respect indian movies, you should start with yourself. hint - stop using the word bollywood?

shareDude, thats the only change in the hole script. So it make Race orignal just because they change a little bit? Race is based on the 1998 Hollywood movie Goodbye Lover with other words. A bollywood rip off! I really like Akshay Khanna but this movie was pure crap with terrible music!
