This movie ROCKS!

I got to go to a cast and crew screening last night of Days of Wrath and I really loved it. Very gritty, tense story of a hot-blooded young hoodlum named Danny-Boy who wants to be an infamous gangster "Just like Tony Montana" (from Scarface).

He and his crew jump a few black guys at a convenience store because they recognize one of them is a rapper and because they want to steal his (beautiful!) Bentley convertible.

But a few important people get caught in the crossfire (I won't say who or it'll spoil it) and right away a gang war erupts with everyone wanting Danny-Boy's blood.

Danny-Boy goes into hiding but keeps popping out to do more heinous acts of violence. This guys is so unpredictable and seriously crazy, he's truly terrifying. Plus, he's played by Wilmer V (from That 70s Show) and you'd never know this guy could play such a hardened psycho. It's a fantastic performance from Wilmer and I hope he gets offered some more great dramatic roles in the future. This movie will really put him on everyone's radar (I hope.)

Meanwhile there's another story about Danny-Boy's gang leader Mario (who Danny-Boy crossed by starting the gang war, and who is one of the people who now want Danny-Boy dead). Mario has a whole story of his own involving a crazy grandma (!) and a long lost Dad.

Also there's this other story about a pretty Latina who is moving up the ladder at the local TV news station... This is actually the weakest part of the movie, it's kind of like a bit of a soap opera, but it is important because she used to be a hood rat, gangster girl but got out and got a career.

Now Danny-Boy (who remembers her from back in the day) wants her to make him famous...

This is a truly scary and intense movie. I really loved it. The cast were all fantastic -- all except the pretty Latina girl, who was a bit weak -- but the story is tight. There are scenes when you are so tense you are gripping your honey's hand (well, I was!) because you don't know if Danny-Boy is about to blow a hole through the head of the beautiful black girl he is in bed with (for example) or what..........

Fantastic tale of how crazy and destructive the gangster lifestyle really is.

The woman who wrote and directed this movie (Celia Fox) is really smart -- she did a brilliant job and also it's obvious she surrounded herself with great people. Just look at the fantastic cinematography, the exquisite effects -- especially during the awesome credit sequence that open the movie to a cool Snoop Dogg song. I also loved the various songs and especially the score; it was the tense and rhythmic score that really added drama to the violent scenes and tenderness to the romantic scenes.

I just can't rave enough about this movie and I can't wait to see it again.

...believe me u wouldn't have spoiled anything by telling us what happened next. I JUST realized 10 min ago the film hasn't even got a buyer (according to it's official website)and the release date is the END of 2010, wtf?! By than the dress-code, hair style, youths, and movie will be so outdated it won't even make it to the screen, st8 to dvd. I heard it cost 10 racks to make it, so is it more hype than content to the film? Gotta be
