Camilla Belle and Angela
Very, very nice foreign film...that is, from my point of view as an American. Subtitles didn't detract at all from the rich language and BOTH the sound editing and directing were top notch. I especially liked most of the music that held together the longer sequences. Beautiful film "to look at".
It's funny. You follow Camilla Belle's "adult" career from about 2005 onward. And you think she's gonna' be twenty years old for the rest of her life. Naturally it doesn't work that way...and in this film Camilla gracefully takes a back seat to Laura Neiva. Eventually, and I sincerely hope she stays with acting long enough to do so, she'll eventually portray Deborah Bloch's character. In any event her 'Angela' was showcased sparingly and with style. Wished she had just a few more lines if only because it's cool seeing such a familiar face (with such a familiar voice) mouthing such a beautiful language. Glad I picked up the DVD.
One thing I'm sure of though. Judging from that one scene it's certain I'd never have to fear Ms. Belle on the tennis court.
OK. One MORE thing. Being in his mid-40s Vincent Cassel looked fairly chiseled on screen. Us older guys can still 'represent'. Cheers!
