why was Galois even concerned with ethics?


Considering Hilbert was about to murder him?

I could understand if it were about stealing someone's intellectual property in general, but not when it's someone so evil.

Hilbert's homocidal inclinations wouldn't make Galois any less of a liar.

I think scientists are mostly ethical people. And stealing others' work is unethical whatever they are.

I think it was stupid the throw away the proof. Saying that Hilbert would "win" if he got published is not relevant. He FOUND the proof after 35 years work and deserves the credit. He died for being evil. I think that is enough punishment.
