What 'Oliva' did in the boat with 'Hilbert'?

Any of you would know what she did in the boat offshore her country? She sad that the party on the boat had illegal things in any country... but, what is it?

The details are irrelevant, anything the viewer can imagine will do (e.g. images from the ritual orgy in Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" came to my mind here.) The purpose is just to create an intense dramatic tension.

reply

An orgy isn't illegal.

reply

I like to think that they had a horse orgy.

reply

It was a peer to peer boat and they were all participating in some illegal file sharing...

reply

lol - probably the best answer - seeing how that seems more Hilbert's speed anyway

reply

that is hilarious!

i laughed out loud

me too.

Very good.

One of the funniest answers I've seen in a long time. Thanks!

OMG ! HILARIOUS ! i laughed out loud too !

reply

You could not be more wrong.

It was a pier to pier boat!

Illegal chess moves, and she LOVED it.

lol..."horse orgy"

Danielborges: Orgies are illegal in many countries. Spain may not be one of them; for the purposes of the movie, I'm happy to assume that it is. Anyway, who ever heard of an orgy without illegal drugs?

reply

She said, though, "illegal in any country".

reply

Yes - I thought that was a bit odd... You can't mention horrible, illegal goings-on without at least hinting at what they were... Plus - while the characters weren't particularly well fleshed out, she didn't really strike me as the type to get involved in anything particularly horrific... However, mostly, I very much enjoyed the film.

reply

That will be a mystery :) Yeah I thought as some it could be orgy but is it illeagal? Lol, but peer to peer file sharing joke made my day heheh.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

reply

I thought of dark secret Satanic rituals that went beyond mere orgy, even bestial, into ritual abuse and sacrifice.

Yeah, but she said she was compelled to go back time and time again. It would have been something at least interesting or intellectually challenging. Unless someone is a sicko like those people in Hostel, what exactly would have captivated her so much about what you describe?

reply

perhaps they were counting and weighing many sacks of market vegetables in metric in an audacious sign of defiance to the EU

they were basically metric martyrs on board that day, that is why it was illegal in many countries!

off with their heads!

Well, I would initially count out sexual activities, since that wouldn't be illegal, unless it involved child sex or bestiality, so I'm pretty sure it's not that. Neither of those characters look like kiddy or puppy rapists to me.

Gambling isn't illegal in a lot of countries, so it couldn't be that.

Drugs? Maybe, but I'm pretty sure most mathematicians aren't heavy drug users.

Perhaps it's something like blood sport between animals or people.

However, I definitely think the tone implied it was sexual, so all we have to do is find out what's illegal even in Amsterdam, and that's the answer.

Since the Netherlands are getting more uptight every day, the illegal thing must have been either squating the boat or protesting against animal cruelty.

Yeah, but those aren't illegal in all countries.

I'm just going to give up and say mathematician gangbang.

I assumed child pornography/pedophilia and maybe bestiality since those are the only things I can think of that are illegal in "any" country. Even with bestiality they have donkey shows in Mexico and parts of europe... not sure if it's legal or not. So pedophilia will be my best guess but that's strange since that makes Olivia's character very dark and unlikable.

reply

i think something dealing with group sex.

reply

group sex is not illegal. I go with bestiality and pedophilia. But even that does not make sense.

reply

I don't think we have to take her too literally. She's a mathematician, not a lawyer, and probably isn't really familiar with the law. It's enough that she thinks it is illegal. Should some depraved activity happen to be perfectly legal in Nauru, it hardly undermines her statement.

BINGO :)
