Ive been waiting awhile to see this movie from Takashi Miike and im wondering how people who have seen it already liked it?
Im almost tempted to order the japanese copy of the dvd and just watch it on my computer instead of dvd player.
Fairly calm and straightforward for a Miike movie. But I found Sukiyaki Western to also be calm and straight unlike his previous stuff too. Very watchable and enjoyable. The japanese dvd does not have eng subs if yu thinking bout it...
Oh yeah and the soundtrack is cool.

It was alright, not too great. The comedy worked really well, its got quite a bit of laughs in it. Kinda ends on a cliffhanger, but then again Episode 2 is already in the works so it shouldn't be too long of a wait...

shareYou guys do know that Miike has many "calm" movies right? He DOES make other kinds of movies as well.
I found the film very enjoyable its kind of like a hyper-kinetic high school version of The Warriors or something.
Definately worth picking up if you are a fan of Miikes body of work.
