Really? Because I think it is completely the opposite. It's about a lot of things like the ability to dream, resist oppression, brotherhood, freedom, finding your own way, and being your own man. All of which are staples of a lot of Shonen of youth media in Japan.

^ I somehow agree. In a twisted sense, what I got from the movie is friendship, forming bonds and trusting each other. Also stepping up. And being a good leader means really caring about those people you lead.

I know this post is old..But what I got from these movies was..Leadership, friendship, the ability to trust and rise up against the odds.
