Woman stabbed to death near Hollywood ‘Walk of Fame’

The victim, 23-year-old Christine Calderon, of Lynwood, was walking with a male co-worker, just steps from the Walk of Fame. They came upon the group of transients, who were displaying signs asking for money with four-letter insults and a smiley face. Calderon apparently found the signs amusing, and took out her cell phone to snap a photo.

Moments later, one of the men demanded that she pay a dollar for the picture, law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times. When she refused, two of the men allegedly pinned her co-worker against a wall.
