I consider myself a not-so-old-fastened guy of 50, I watched original Fame back in early 80s in the theater, and I keep a DVD often it. When I watched this newer movie, I knew it would be like any other remake, full of cliches, but I tried to be tolerant to little no-so-perfect, everything seemed cool to me, until the girl plays and sings Irene Cara's song, then I knew, it would fail totally.

I've never gotten super mad about remakes, until the song Fame was played. I think I literally saw red. I honestly think people would cheer if Irene Cara hunted that chick who sung it and punched her in the face.

The girl who sang “Out here on my Own” was fabulous, did a better job than Cara. Much more power and vocal range.
