Mary Sues?

Are they Mary Sues? A Mary Sue is a character that is basically perfect in every way.. Did they even have any negative qualities in this? I personally think they're annoying but I don't think they were supposed to be seen as annoying by other characters in the movie.

I've heard conflicting definitions on what a Mary Sue is

When it's used to refer to character like Bella it seems to mean someone who lacks personal so the readers easily imagine themselves into her role in the story. That certainly wouldn't work for these 2.
