Strange and Cool
I didn't really follow much of the storyline. I'm a Val Kilmer fan ("Willow," "Top Gun," "Real Genius") so not following the storyline should have turned me off from the coolness of the film, but the camera work was great and reminiscent of some of his later quality work ("The Salton Sea").
There was some good dialogue and nice scenes between Kilmer and the African-American kid. There was also a really pretty red-head in the film; helps him, etc.
It was sort of a strange movie in that most of the scenes took place in 1-2 environments, but like I said, the camera work made it "a good gloss."
