Where have you guys seen the film?
shareWhich version? There are two different cuts of this film...
1. An action-oriented cut with an actor standing in for Kilmer when he was unable to return for re-shoots. This cut is preferred by the production company.
2. The dramatic vehicle that has the blessing of the director and cast.
Both, but I'd prefer the action cut. Has it been released to DVD or Theaters yet?

One version, I think someone said it's the action cut one is available on DVD as of March 24 this year. Amazon has it. I don't know if we'll ever get to see the director's cut.

I'd prefer to see the director's cut--if I could only see one.
I've seen what studios did to Major Dundee, the Magnificent Ambersons, The Wild Bunch & Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, among others.
