Anyone else feel really great after watching this movie? Kilmer is a great card, always has been.

I agree with you. Although I was a little confused (what with the slightly contradictory genres fighting each other throughout the film), I was fond of the message I took from it - the importance of family. The film had an interesting dose of reality from a more optimistic point of view, especially being applied to the personality of a criminal. It was a nice change of pace for an action film.
shareI suspect the "the slightly contradictory genres fighting each other throughout the film" are a result of someone trying to edit an indie drama into an action flick. They should have released it as an indie drama as originally intended. I for one try to ignore the action scenes as mostly unimportant to the story.
