Sweet movie! Good timing.

Now this one I really liked.
Petty crime doesn't always pay off, but it sure as hell beats the boring life. And if you're really nice to people, you might end up lucky.

Well casted, smooth performances by all actors and actresses.

How did you see it and where? It sounds promising and I would like to see it too.

I know what you mean- I'm all about supporting great film, but I do enjoy previewing them for free before I purchase them...but I do realize others don't share my view. They want amazing quality while offering no support at the box office or home video- so hopefully new media is developed into something that is satisfactory for filmmakers who want their film seen by many people, yet want to make some money off their craft as well. But at this moment, I'm in the category of filmmakers who feel its better to have lot's of people watch your film for free instead of having no one watch it at all...and if 88 minutes is any indication- a movie can be pirated for two years and STILL make decent money when it's released at the box office (despite even the poor reviews).

Finally a crime drama that doesn't end on the most depressing of notes.

The kid and Kilmer are just brilliant when their dialogue bounces between each other in the most unexpected ways while growing to become friends. Wilmer Valderrama puts in a performance that shows he's probably the edgiest actor to come out of the 'That 70's Show' set. I didn't clue into the fact it was him until the final 30 minutes of the film. Marg must have loved playing a new role like this- she broke my heart with this performance and I cared so much about what happened to her and her daughter in relation to Kilmer's outcome. So realistically portrayed- bravo Marg. Kilmer is great as always and continues his reputation of delivering a fine tuned performance.

A truly great film that deserved a higher budget, but Kilmer and co
have created an amazingly, smooth piece of cinema. Everyone involved
should be very proud.

The acting, editing, cinematography, music: all fantastic- and there's
so many lines of dialogue that catch you off guard either comedically
or more often dramatically that I can't see the type who wouldn't get
sucked into this movie's story.

AND THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!

Even the friggin extras in the background of the park Kilmer hides out
in have their own small story lines going on (ie one couple meets for
the first time in the background of one shot and later near the end of
the film you see them again in the background arguing...everything
comes full circle in this movie- plot, characters,
extras(lol)...fantastic.

I can't wait to put this one in my DVD collection. Thanks for making up
for the $21.43 I lost buying Conspiracy in a grand fashion.

Great screenplay. Great acting. Great film.

are you kidding me? the movie sucked.

So is it coming to theatres or is it direct-to-DVD?

I heard some good things about it, I hope it will make to the big screen

reply

No, it didn't suck. You on the other hand DO suck. But you know that already.

The suspense builds SOOOO well at the end it's nail biting...

...It has been awhile since I have watched a thriller and actually pumped my fist in the air uneasily while cringing, the whole time screaming at the sceen, "Just Fu**cking go man! Go! Gooooo!"

The whole film layers it on thick. I had no problem watching people talk on the phone (which will probably be the ONLY thing ppl bitch about). If you enjoy good dialogue and capable, clear plots- then you will be entertained and rewarded. If you're bored by dialogue and character driven films- go see something else- there's no explosions, just gunfire, a brawl, and suspense.

That's a well-thought out argument but I agree with toomuchtime; this film sucked. The only person this junk will help is Fez because it showed that he can, um, play someone other than Fez.

I see you favor a .45
By night I do, and I keeps one in the chamber-case you ponderin'.

I actually thought this movie was really good, and featured great performances from everyone involved. Much better than your usual DTV stuff. Val Kilmer is still a great actor, and it looks like he's got some bigger things coming up. If you like Val Kilmer, or simple crime dramas, then you have to check it out.
