When you're Ironhide (the black GMC pickup truck guy), there's this one level with that guy with that swirling thing on his head, and also these orange drones that keep coming. How do you defeat the guy with the swirling thing on his head? Also, where do those annoying drones (Retardicons, as I like to call them) keep COMING from?! I've done everything like throwing cars and trucks to using the blaster to using the machine gun, but nothing seems to work. How do you defeat this Retardicon Decepticon?!

The robots with spinning flails are called Longarms and turn up in both campaigns: they're tow trucks who attack by spinning their hooks. While the hook is spinning, they're immune to everything except a thrown object: small objects also have no effect, you want something car or tree sized.

A clean hit will cause them to retract their hook and run towards you, aiming to hit you in close combat: hit them once or twice with your own melee attacks, then jump away because they'll restart their hook. Their per-stage damage is capped, so it'll always take three cycles of this action to kill them. You can do a little extra damage by backing right away, which sometimes makes them shift into vehicle mode, where they're vulnerable to gunfire.
