There catching on to the fact that people are sick of remakes. BUT they still can't come up with a good origional story so they are not remaking movies hoping people don't notice. Do you think the 16 years olds they are aiming for are going to know that Terror Train had been released in 1980? Or have seen it at all? Doubt it. There are other recent examples of name changes but none come to mind as I post this.

They didnt chnage chainsaw tital or amityville and they WERE remakes. They changed body snatchers to invasion and that was not a reamke.

if it's not a remake then why does thora birch's character have the same name as jamie lee curtis' character from the original "terror train"?
sharethat's an error which imdb has yet to correct. someone erroneously entered that and it's stuck there. presumably until the movie's released and 400 people angrily post "why did they change her name?!" and the inevitable "hey guys, this is NOT A REMAKE".

THEY PROMOTED THE DAMN THING AS A REMAKE OF TERROR TRAIN.THEY CALLED IT A RE-IMAGINING OF IT JUST LIKE ROB ZOMBIE DID WITH THAT HORRIBLE REMAKE OF HALLOWEEN.
