on the new 9/11 film -THE REFLECTING POOL

Having just read a suspiciously negative imdb posting about J. Kupsc's new film, THE REFLECTING POOL, here are some needed "counterpoint" observations on this work, a film that tackles one of the most difficult stories in our history. You may want to consider these points if you're deciding to attend or buy the film:

*While there are several documentaries circulating on the internet and at film festivals, Kupsc's current film is the only feature narrative work that gives voice to many eyewittness accounts that were not allowed into the 9/11 Commission Report;

*By presenting a fictional reporter's 2007 investigation of real 9/11 events, the filmmakers help viewers set aside their assumptions about what happened and provide a new prespective on the 9/11 tragedy;

*Unlike other 9/11 works, the producers of THE REFLECTING POOL provide an audio commentary on their DVD detailing the exact sources for the alternative 9/11 analysis used in developing the script, and determining the locations used during the shoot (the film's locations include many of the real sites in Washington D.C.and New York City);

*THE REFLECTING POOL does not stack the scales on one side of the 9/11 story; it allows the main characters to question the "official version" of published 9/11 reports, yet does this by bringing new testimony and little-known details to light. Have you seen any other works on 9/11 do this ?
