I liked this but no reference to PBS Frontline or the internet blogs.

PBS is free people and supported by viewers. They completely talked about Paul Wolfowiz and “his proposal” to Bush Sr. to go into Iraq with a preemptive strike and PBS made this public before the second Iraq war - Frontline even posts transcripts of all their shows on their website.

By listening to reporter’s questions during any briefing in the past 50-years you would get the news. There is also no mention in this presentation regarding the internet blogs about wars. The Iraq War was bogus and all the info was out there but the problem is that the mainstream news media needs to make money but media like PBS is forgotten. The fact that more people have not commented on this site is just an example of disgust, complete understanding, or too much focus on sports/video games. Go to PBS Frontline website and do research if you need more info that was available before we went to war in Iraq.

Included in the news (even during the lead-in the the war, though buried) for years before was the fact that Osama bin Laden was loudly on the record as wanting to overthrow Saddam Hussein's gov't and replaced it with a theocracy along the lines of that in Iran.

In short: the only thing bin Laden and Hussein had in common was that they were mutual enemies. Hussein didn't and wouldn't give WMDs to bin Laden, because he knew bin Laden would have used them against Hussein.

Those who backed Bush refuse -- no matter the facts -- to admit they were enthusiastically willing to be suckered, and they got what they asked for.
