Ok so what's with walking right out in front of a slavering wolf?

"wait - I think I know how we might be able to get around it."

You just couldn't write this stuff if you tried. No one would believe it.

I think it was they noticed it didn't leave the doorway when coming after them, and stopped there and didn't go past it. I think it was supposed to be protecting its babies it had in there or something rather than wanting to eat them.

A great plan with 3 possible outcomes:
1. Get torn limb from limb and become wolf food
2. Get attacked by wolf but escape with severe injuries
3. Take a gamble that it won't attack and just back away slowly...

So a 1 outta 3 chance, gotta love them odds 😜

they said that the wolf was guarding something, like it's pups, so it was protecting it's territory not threatening them.

Yup. Just took an uneducated guess and got lucky this time round. That's always a great strategy 👍 I mean, don't get me wrong - I'm glad they survived, they seem like nice kids and everything.

As critical as I am about TWD (all shows), I can't agree with this idea that it was an uneducated guess.

They made an observation and arrived at a conclusion based on that observation. Whether or not that is something that happens with real feral wolves may be something to be debated, but saying uneducated guess is not accurate.
