Harmony Korine is a useless idiot
That part of the movie made me double facepalm. They should have left out that part.

shareWhat the hell was he doing?
I got it - can't remember it completely - that his "act" was paying homage to the Norwegian black metal-scene.... with tapdancing and a yellow wig?
This is what one of the directors replied,
"Well, he's been into black metal for many years; he also used Burzum in the Gummo soundtrack and has put up many Black Metal-related exhibitions in several galleries. Basically, we just went about it the same way that we did with everyone else in the movie: called him up and told him what we were doing, asked if he wanted to be involved. We're just very honest in what we're doing and what we want."
Off topic though he's also seen in "Kids" ( which he wrote ) wearing a Nuclear Assault shirt.
I personally thought it was great to see Korine, an avid Black Metal fan, to be included in the film. Not sure why so many "metulz heads" are bashing this film so much, including the Korine segment. Perhaps it was too real for them?

It was meant to be a facepalm moment. Fenriz laments that black metal has turned into a trend, something that anyone can relate to. Cue Harmony Korine who babbles on about church burnings, Varg killing Euronymous, etc. What Korine has attached himself to was the most tangible parts of black metal, the most outrageous but not necessarily the essence of it.
shareHe's from the west coast, what did you expect?
