Blu Ray?

I know it's not about how awesome the film itself is but the lack of a DVD in the UK was bad enough but there's not even a Blu Ray of it in the US but there is in Germany but I don't want to buy it if it's English dubbed by different actors than the ones that are in this film...can anyone who has bought it from Germany help with my predicament

I can't answer that in a definite way regarding the Blu-ray, but as I've bought more than enough German and Italian DVDs over the years I can say this.

They will usually contain one audio track being a dub in that language, so from Germany in German voiced by German Actors.

Then there should be the Original audio track, which in this case would be English with the actual actors.

And finally there might be other language dubs as well.

Never heard of them actually re-dubbing the English audio for the German DVD/Blu-ray Market. There's just no point to it, since probably 8 out of 10 buyers are going to watch it in German, and those that want the English want the original. It would be a huge waste of money, time and resources to call in English language actors to redub the film only for that Market. Since Studios and Distributors are all about business, they just don't do it if there is no reason to do so.

The only instances where the original actors have been redubbed that I can think of are internationally produced movies where actors from different countries speaking different languages on set are dubbed for the final theatrical release, some Movies produced in Italy in the 1980s come to mind.
Another case, but again it already was so at the time of theatrical release, would be Audrey Hepburn in 'My Fair Lady' where she was redubbed for almost all the songs, even though she had been promised that they would use her singing.

Yes, I often buy the American movies which only gets a German blu-ray transfer, and they do indeed contain the original English audio track.
Go right ahead and buy it =)

According to Blu-ray.com (who are usually extremely reliable), the German Blu-ray has the English audio track (it is very, very rare that a foreign release of an english speaking movie wont contain the english original audio track), and it is also Region B, so will play on UK blu-ray players
