American Ninja Warrior Question

So, I watched and really enjoyed all these episodes, but did they hold an entire Ninja Warrior Competition in Japan with all the Japanese contestants, and we only got to see the American participants? If so, what’s up with that? After watching all the previous tournaments, I want to see the Japanese contestants, especially the All Stars, as well as the American contestants. Anyone in here able to shed some more light on this?

What you watched was American Ninja Warrior, filmed in Los Angeles, CA. From the 100s who entered, this competition was meant to whittle down the contestants to a maximum of 10 who would then be sent to Japan to compete in Sasuke/Ninja Warrior TOS. I didn't stay up to watch the end, but, whomever was left standing, they're going to Japan on G4's dime.

I was really hoping the Urban Ninja Xin Wuku would make it. He's a former American Gladiator among other things.

Thanks for the reply Dragonfly, but the final two “new” episodes they aired this weekend actually had the ten winners competing on the actual course in Japan, and the “only” contestants they showed were the ten American ones… Not a single Japanese contestant was shown..

I saw these episodes too. The whole point of "American Ninja Warrior" is to showcase the Americans who qualified (and *only* the Americans - hence the name)... The regular Japanese contestants will be back on "Ninja Warrior" in January, or so my brother-in-law says.
