Ayako Miyake needs to come back ASAP

The women's version sucks without her. Ditch this new format and bring back the queen!

Honestly, she started to annoy me, coming back year after year. You've done it 3 times in a row already, stop now. Especially, when they had the year where only the top 6 times go to continue. At that point it was like, you've already done it twice in a row, give someone else a chance. I laughed when she fell that year.

Yeah, perhaps she could have tanked it on purpose to allow another competitor to win. That way the other person would really be earning it, too.

She definitely should have stopped competing around the time you got annoyed with her. What was she thinking?!

reply

Who said anything about tanking? I was talking about gracefully withdrawing to give someone who hadn't already done it multiple times a chance to compete. But that would involve having consideration for some else, something that's obviously a foreign concept to both you and her.

You'll notice she quit competing once she fell. I think we're clearly seeing someone who's a bit of a sore loser.

Meh, Women's Ninja Warrior is too easy. Ya, I know its been said and debated, but it is too easy. I give props for the women (the only one I remember recently is Rye Komia...spelling?) who try the Men's Ninja Warrior.

I know she probaly did it just for fun but Id like to see her and more of the women actually try and practice for it. Ya know really give it a go.

That is true, and it's almost pitiful how many of the women still fail. I think the balance points are one of the few things that makes it difficult. I must admit, I'm curious to see how the some of the men would do on the women's course.

And it's Komiya Rie, and I agree. I think she's actually one of my favorites and she didn't do too badly on the men's course, one of the few women to actually make it past the jumping spider... the first time at least :-D It would be nice to see a woman other than Chie get past the first stage on the main ninja warrior. I wish they'd put more serious female competitors through and less of the jokes who just want to be on tv.

Easier than the regular course? Absolutely...

Easy overall? Nah, I wouldn't go that far... (Domino Hill, for example. Most people couldn't do that sh*t.)

The problem is that it's difficult to imagine a woman having a realistic chance to win on Sasuke. Kunoichi gives the ladies an opportunity to showcase some of their unique abilities by putting an emphasis on balance and speed. The power, endurance, and stamina required for Sasuke is a lot to take on for a 100-120 lb. woman, particularly the lithe and diminutive acrobat types who excel on the women's course.

I'm sure there are some women out there who could do it, but watching most of them fail is hardly a surprise. Not even the vast majority of the male contestants can advance past the first stage with any consistency.

Who the hell would do that when they have a chance to make history? God, if everyone had your philosophy when it comes to competitive events people would probably be afraid to win lest they hurt someone's feelings or some BS like that. You do realize that as champion she was invited back? Everyone wanted her there, doofus...

Uh, 99 other women did have a chance to compete. Everybody ran the same course. The other women couldn't beat her time. You're holding it against her for being too good, and that's ludicrous. The second stage of the sixth tournament was the only time the competitors actually had to go up against each other (excluding this new tournament). Ayako didn't make the rules, she just played by them. It also means that with the exception of one stage in one tournament she never prevented anyone else from winning, and there were still other women who advanced and had a chance to win, but none of them could get it done. Your premise that someone should quit after they've "won enough" is ridiculous (how do you define "enough" or limit achievement?), and it seems you have no reason to dislike her other than the fact that you're vindictive and you hated her success.

But that would involve having consideration for some else, something that's obviously a foreign concept to both you and her.

Right...

This coming from a person who admitted to laughing when she fell. Yeah, that's classy. She's probably got more class in a single fingernail than you have in your whole body there, princess.

And you'd clearly be wrong, again. She stopped because part of her acrobatic troupe split from Muscle Musical, and the producers didn't want to promote a rival company by having any of those ladies compete. A lot of women all left at the same time. It wasn't just her. She was actually quite humble in defeat, which you'd know if you'd bothered to pay attention to her interview after she fell.

...make history? Wow, I find it sad that you think beating Women of Ninja warrior multiple times would be making history. I see someone's got a stupid crush.

Wow, I find it sad that you're so dense.

It would have been historic within the context of the show, because you know, no one had ever done it before.
