messed up geography and history

as pointed out by the goofs, why do people continue to make movies about mexico or showing mexican culture all out of wack and obviously wrong?

like showing guadalajara's cathedral, the degollado theater...and saying its MEXICO CITY...one minute theyre running down guadalajara's plaza, next minute theyre in front of the Revolution Monument in Mexico City...thats like putting the Capitol Building and saying its downtown L.A. whats the point of that?

aztec ruins in Chihuahua state? a horrible slap to the face to the state real indiginous people, the Tarahumara indians...

So Mexico City "police" has jurisdiction in ALL of mexico? even in puerto vallarta? which is about 8 hours away from Mexico City? (but in this movie, it seems as if Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City and Baja are all in an area the size of New York City...

people always have misconceptions about Mexico and Mexican culture and this movie only reinforces the BS...

and cue the music....Lowrider...and music from Spain, because yea thats all they listen to in Mexico...

i may sound cranky and yea yea yea its a movie...but a very stupid movie at that. writers dont even bother to make sure things are correct and factual...yeah lets say San Francisco is in Florida now. the empire state is in Chicago.

You apparently have absolutely no understanding of the relationship of films to reality, no understanding of the nature of fiction.

It seems to me that the understanding would just be intuitive, but obviously it isn't for everyone.

It seems odder that someone who might have watched a lot of films wouldn't get it yet though.

in the mid to late 90's,... i use to think that drew barrymore was so cute w/ that short blonde, messy hair, she was skinny,... & just darling,... no doubt, she's still darling, but why not go back to that adorable look that you had???
what a difference,...
i actually had pictures of you on my wall during that time?period,...
i loved "mad love",...
even though you, & chris o'donnel didn't have any real chemistry,... that can always be evident in films,... nonetheless,... i'll always have love for 'drew barrymore'- she has got a heart!!! :-)

You have to forgive writers and screen play of people in Hollywood. They hope to be politically correct and stereotypical; however, they want it to be taken as satirical instead of stereotypical. Most writers are not exactly educated and they begin interning. The movie industry hires people based on their imagination, not their knowledge.

THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR. COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!
