The one thing I liked best about this film ...




While this movie's "message" was mildly expressed, it can at least be said that the film built toward making a statement against selfishness and snobbery. I found this refreshing, because 95% of the Bollywood films that I see have the implicit message that wealth is equal to 'coolness' and superiority. This permeates so many Bollywood films (for instance, the facile assumption that introducing a protagonist by showing him driving a flashy car and using high-tech gadgets will automatically make the viewer think he is cool and likeable), and it seems to me that the effect on society of this constant message is really quite pernicious.
