My little sister actually plays the girl at a younger age (in flashbacks, and pictures of her at a young age) so i'm kinda looking forward to it

I'm a bit disappointed at people saying about ITV just trying to cash in on the McCann story, but infact this was filmed very early this year (i think perhaps even end of last year) and has always been scheduled for the Autumn, so ITV are doing no such thing to a certain degree

Hey, do you guys know how many episodes there are gonna be? Thanks.

Is this a rhetorical question?

reply

it's a 3-part series

reply

Not really no, she's only 5, and just simply played the girl at that sort of age in pictures and flashbacks

i actually missed it though because i was at the theatre but my dad recorded it so i'll be sure to watch it when i have a chance, i'm 18 and an actor so i'm busy quite alot doing acting and working etc

reply

willywoo_fumanchoo Surely your sister would be listed in the credits, and surely she would be told when its coming out if she was invovled in the film.

reply

hey buddy, well, only being 5 and being relatively minor, simply playing the girl at a younger age (i'm not sure of the coverage/screen time she got, as i missed it) so i'm not sure if she is credited, but unfortunately, and i know this from myself and past experience, that once you've done your bit with a company, it's pretty much down to you to find out when it's on

plus the fact tht it has been advertised for the past few weeks anyway, so i know it was on this evening, but i've only just got back from the theatre

I have been a supporting artist in lots of tv and film, some better featured than others, but i've also been in short films across the country playing lead roles and also lots of theatre roles too

reply

The on-screen credits were pathetic. They didn't even get the name of Holly Aird's character right. Her name was Sarah, but the credits called her Alice, presumably confusing her with her daughter. And no, they didn't credit the actor and actresses who played the children at a younger age, despite the fact that the young Alice was of obvious importance to the programme.

willywoo_fumanchoo, please could you post the name of your sister? That way we, at least, can give her some recognition for her performance. If you could perhaps use your contacts to find out the names of the other two children, that would be brilliant, too. :)

I would appreciate it if you could delete this post please

I have also notified the board administrators

Thank you

reply

Eh? What's wrong? Are you suggesting that my post violated any of the IMDb's terms and conditions? I just did some Googling, like you suggested. I thought actors were supposed to like publicity...

reply

we like publicity yeah, but i didn't say to google my sister, and post personal photo's of her on this board - she is only 5!!

reply

I'm sorry if I caused you any offence. But I didn't make public any photographs that weren't publicly accessible already. I just posted links to where they had already been published. If you don't want the whole world to see them, perhaps you should have a word with the chap who uploaded them.

reply

I also wondered why, if this person is so concerned about their 5yr old sister's privacy, he or she is announcing to the world that said 5yr old is in this series?

reply

well, no, she's actually 23, but she looks alot younger, around about 5yrs old, sure......

:S

reply

Okay, you're making me think you're just a troll or a *beep* now because on at least two other posts you said your sister was five years old. So which is she? 23? or 5?

reply

i think someone doesnt understand sarcasm

reply

I understand sarcasm but I don't understand you at all, you're just weird. You obviously didn't understand my post which was querying why you suddenly got all upset over your five year old sister's privacy when you were the one who is telling all and sundry that she is in this series. Then you give some stupid reply saying your sister's actually 23.

reply

Because telling people she was in the series is not a problem, but when people do an intense search on her name (which even i couldn't find the photo's that he did from his search), then i think about her privacy! My 'stupid' reply was merely sarcasm because you're comment was simply silly, basically stating that im telling people her age, but considering she was playing the main girl at a to younger age, and also looks about 4/5, im not exactly going to say 'she's only 10' or 'she's 23year old woman'. The fact that she is only 5 means people should respect the privacy fact evenmoreso, but without the facts, people wouldn't understand....!??

reply

My comment was not silly and I wasn't stating anything to do with her age. You misunderstood what I meant by "said 5yr old". That simply meant the afore-mentioned 5yr old.

reply

I think the bloke is a freak..and just trying to make freinds on this site.. Better left alone !!

reply

really? thank you

infact, i am an actor, and the oldest brother of the girl who played young alice!

The people who would have got to my site before posts were deleted would be able to see that/who i am!

reply

Dear all, I am the father of the little girl Eliza who played Alice at 4 years old
. All this arguing is just doing harm to her name and not really what the message board is for.As her dad I am quite happy for her to get some publicity so thank you to chobar for trying to give her a bit of a boost. This particular thread has I think run its course now. As for willywoo I think he was only trying, all be it over enthusiastically, to protect his sister from what he felt was a bit to much attention and I have now spoken with him to let him know that I am okay with it all. Hope everyone enjoyed the program anyway, regards Clive Elkington.
