SPOILERS

So how did everything fit together? Were the werewolf and the vampire that were dating and originally looking for The Heart of Belial being black-mailed by Taye Diggs' character? Basically, why did they want it? I get why Taye Diggs wanted it, but never understood how they fit in. And when Elizabeth was finally revealed to want to use it for evil was that supposed to be her all the time or was she just using it in response to the murder of her father? I didn't quite get how everything tied together.

The female ware wolf was part of the family that was tasked with protecting the heart and it was stolen by Elizabeth's father. Elizabeth and her family were monster hunters so her using the heart was not just revenge but possibly the plan all alone to use it to kill them all
