Well, you have to know one thing, the fourth and fifth film, and very likely the sixth movie takes place before Tokyo Drift. Here's how I look at it for settings:
The Fast and The Furious- 2001
2 Fast 2 Furious- 2001 or 2002 (It took place not long after the first film, Brian was on the run and if you see in the Turbo Charged Prelude, he spent a lot of time on the road racing against people across the country before making it to Miami)
Fast and Furious- 2006 (Mia said that they met after five years, also Dom was probably in Mexico and in the DR during all that time. He couldn't go back to the states because he was still a wanted man)
Fast Five- Still in 2006 or maybe 2007 (It took place right where Fast and Furious left off, they went to Rio De Janeiro not long after breaking Dom out of the prison bus)
I don't know how much later Tokyo Drift is supposed to take place.
The 6th film will probably be in 2007 or 2008, if not still in 2006 depending on how long it had been since the events of Fast Five. As for their ages, well I have always had a feeling that Vin Diesel portrayed someone who is younger than the actor, same with Paul Walker portraying someone younger than the actor. They mentioned about how when Letty was 16, she had caught Dom's attention. It's possible he could have still been a teenager or 18/19 at most when they started dating or something. I know there was that part in 2 Fast 2 Furious when the FBI/US Customs Agents were looking at profiles of Brian and Roman, and it said Brian was born in 1973 (The year Paul Walker was born) and Roman was born in 1978 (The year Tyrese was born), but I have thought the characters' ages were close enough that they were childhood friends.

Hard to tell tough, In 2F2F Brian's date of birth is August 29, 1973, but in FF5 it says on his profile that it is July 13th, 1978, it could be one or the other.
On wikipedia it says Vince was born in 1972, but in TFATF, Brian says that Vince is about 24 years of age. Vince and Dom are the same age though.
Sung Kang (Han) has stated that this is the timeline
