it was a really good movie i thought dont judge the movie by the trailer it is a good flick people should watch it
shareI was surprised that I didnt care for this movie. There were some recognizable names. Eric Braeden is the star...noted for Young and the Restless and George Kennedy who was great in Cool Hand Luke and Airport. Boxer Ken Norton as grandpa..Ken was my favorite all time boxer. (I was always for him in his 3 Ali fights)....My wife used to love Amand Assante, but his roles of late have been torture to watch. Eric said in the interview in the extras it took 9 years to get this film done and released. It was released straight to REDBOX. The listing when I looked today had it still up in the top of IMDB list with the in progress movies, but said "completed". The girl who played the whore Eric stayed with used to be the star of that lame Saturday (in my area)...LOST WORLD...Jennifer O'Dell.

I saw it today and my first impression was that it was awful yet I didnt turn it off. While it wont be regonized for superb editing, production, or acting, it's not a half-bad film for the low budget. Like another poster typed, some parts very upsetting and violent.

Keeping in mind that this is a movie, and only made by great actors, I tend to believe it was an exciting movie. I enjoyed the old cowboy ways of an eye for an eye.
Keep in mind it was only a movie that had some "maybe" deep feelings that we have all had at one time or another.
Yes, it was a low budget film and may could have had better promotion, but it does take a lot of money to make a Tom Cruise movie, and I appreciate just getting to see this one ! By the way, Clint Eastwood made many low cut movies and where is he now?
I realize you have a right to give your opinion, as I do. Don't kock a film that may cause many not to watch it and may cause them a couple of hours of fun.
If you haven't had these feeling at one time or another, you are a blessed person or not very old.

shareI thought the movie was just ok,but I did like the historical aspect.Zane's character seemed out of place and forced.The protagonist wasn't to good at planing his next moves throughout the story,and it cost allot of lives,so I had a hard time caring about him.With all that and some generally impotent directing its not a bad movie for a Sunday afternoon.My favorite acting part was the boy who got shot in the head.If you want to see a much better albeit,violent/adult western...check-out "The proposition".

could have been so much better...but it did the job for a b grade movie, shot for television film..
