The story was very simple, however the contrast between Angel's personality before he got the wings and after wasn't night and day. It should have been. From a scoundrel he should have been an absolute saint, not just a bit nicer. His attraction to the bar owners wife was very unromantic.

All in all though, an enjoyable film.

Why should it have been a contrast? The point was that the wings had to force Angel to be a better person.
