Blah
As much as I love Plympton (going back to the Spike & Mike festivals of the 90's), as well as Tom Waits, this was too long and drawn out for me. It just felt like it should've been a short, and that it was long just for the sake of being long. Having little to no dialogue can be a gimmick, or it can be beautifully implemented (see the Korean film "3-Iron"). Here, I'm afraid it's more the former.
It just wasn't enough to hold my attention, between being depressing and boring (or "not as to the point as I'd like", if you prefer), so I ended up turning it off after an hour. Hopefully I didn't miss an awesome ending, but I was too bored and bummed to care. I guess it depends on what you find entertaining. I guess I might've just been in the wrong mood for it.
