6.2 million viewers

I'm shocked they even did over 6 million:

To compare:

Cheetah Girls: 6.5 million
Cheetah Girls 2: 8.1 million
Cheetah Girls 3: One World: 6.2 million

Wow, it did even worse than the first movie?

Talk about embarassing. :/

reply

It wasn't that bad. To be honest, I was expecting around 5 million viewers. It did better than I thought.

Could have been a lot worse. They were lucky. The price they pay for a shaky storyline AND the absence of its franchise player (namely, Raven). They'll need a whole new approach to their next storyline should they even THINK of doing 'Cheetah Girls 4'. They dare not do it without someone to take Raven's place as Galleria. Last time I checked, Raven herself is leaving Disney.

reply

And that one poster on here who said they worked with the Cheetah Girls on the tour even said they didn't need Raven.

They said Disney only had the 3 girls in it to promote the 3 girls as a group. The second film was so popular that they figured the 3rd would be popular too.

The only problem with that logic is, Raven is the only reason the second one was popular.

It wasn't Adrienne, it wasn't Kiely, it wasn't Sabrina, it wasn't even that Spanish guy Max or whatever.

It was Raven. Kenny Ortega directing and choreographing didn't hurt.

Also the songs were better, even before the film was released. Strut the song itself had such a hook that it pretty much killed every other song in all 3 films. I once heard this remix of the song, it was something else. Like they made the catchiest song in the world even catchier.

I noticed the HSM writers Robbie Nevil and Matthew Gerrard wrote some of the songs. It really came through in the best songs aka Dance Me if You Can and I'm the One

But others were so forgettable/thrown in with no point, they didn't have the kick It's Over had in the second. One World didn't have the final ugh Amigas Cheetahs or heck We're All in This Together had.

that isn't something that disney would be proud of, however, it did do a respectable job considering the circumstances. Cheetah Girls faced competition of Olympics which has beaten every single major network combined every single time it aired. Cheetah Girls was the second most watched program of the night besides the Olympics which isn't bad at all, but it isn't something that I would really be proud of considering the exposure that the Disney Channel has been receiving over the past year. Had it aired out of the time period, I'm sure that it would have done a little better, but I never thought that this movie would out-do any High School Musical or Camp Rock or Cheetah Girls 2. I think that the buzz surrounding this film really dissolved. I never watched the film myself and its just saved on my DVR for curiosity reasons. I'm hoping that the franchise fails and the Disney Channel really dissolves soon.

first of all it started at 6.2 million and peaked at 7.0 million! So there you go. And 3rd it was way better than the first and second one... Like seriously you liked that ending with the stupid dog in the sewer... get real looser. And finally Raven treated those girls like *beep* lied to there faces, and treated them like second class actors. So frankly I think they did great making a way better film than the first even though their stuck up star wasn't in it.

Stop suger coating s**t, you'ce a hater and you just mad because it's proven them heffas are nothing without Raven, them damn Olympics aint got s**t to do with that movie b/c aint no kids watching no olympics. and even if it peaked at 7 million that still a hole million less than the second. There soundtrack is flopping, it is already proven by first day sales and projectory that the soundtrack is not gonna outsell the second one. Another thing THE MOVIE SUCKED not just cuz raven wasnt in it, cuz I've been said that raven wouldnt even have saved that movie cuz it was pure garbage. PLZ the second movie was the best out of ALL the cheetah movies (the first one the hole dog thing at the end killed the hole movie, the third one was BORING! AS HELL, bad acting, bad music, and it was like an hr but the dialog sucked!, the second one had the best script, made the most scence and had the best music and thats why it rated higher than all the other cheetah movies) and last were you there to confirm raven treating them cheetahs badly NOPE and they have never confirmed saying Raven was mean to them. I've meet Raven last month and she was the kindest and sweetest thing ever so fall back. Now if anyones stuck up is the over-doing adlibbing Adrienne and that other one from 3lw no one cares about they the one who left a girl on the side of the road w/ a 2-piece KFC special to the head FACE THE FACTS

THE THIRD MOVIE FLOPPED!
THERE SOUNDTRACK IS FLOPPING!
AND THERE'S ONE MAIN DENOMINATOR IN WHY THERE FLOPPING, B/C SUM1 MISSING THATS RIGHT THE ONLY PERSON MAJORITY OF EVERYONE LIKES THE BEST, BEST ACTRESS, BEST SINGER RAVEN!!!!!!!

DONT HATE, AND MOVE YOUR TRALIER PARK AWAY FROM THE ELECTRIC POLE

RAVEN RULES!!! AND THE CHEETAHS ARE FLOPPING WITHOUT HER HAHAHA SHE MADE THE MOVIES AND THE MUSIC!!!

reply

Wow, the movie did better than I thought it would do.

reply

You also have to give it credit because it was against the Olympics. Without the Olympics, it was the highest rated show/movie on any network for the night. Disney Channel is happy with the results.

Barely promoted it? Yea... no. Commercials were everywhere. It was annoying.

reply

I really don't think that it was not including raven that made the movie do worse.I'm not a big fan of raven and I seriously doubt that it was the main reason.Whether or not people want to believe it,the Olympics did play a role in the movie's rating.

reply

I doubt the Olympics had that much of an impact. Swimming was over before this movie's first telecast. So was gymnastics. Michael Phelps, Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson were not competing at the time to distract the young viewers; and what they televised on Friday was hardly anything to distract those who were watching Disney.

reply

Ow! You are TOO cruel! But you do have a point. Of all the hit musical groups, real, fake or somewhere in between, how many of them survive without its franchise player? Very few. If 6.2 million is all the Cheetahs could muster, with or without the Olympics, what will be the case for the 4th movie, if Raven is not on board (which, unfortunately, will be the case)?

reply

They better not even bother making a fourth one. A third movie should have never been made without the lead (Raven). If they do make a fourth one (and it will most likely be without Raven), they will just be complete laughing stocks.

reply

o well when I clicked The Cheetah girls on Wikipedia, and scrolled down to where it talked about the cheetah girls sequals, it said that One World premired with 3.2 million viewers... lol guess it was really 6.2 million.
