335 people(film crew members) gave this movie a 10!!

Wow. I cannot believe 335 people gave this film a 10. Here's my review http://www.imdb.com/user/ur5851487/comments which I think is realistic, even though I thought it was gash.

Who here thinks those 335 people worked on the film in someway?? No way should this film be scored as high as it is.

I'm sure the 65 who gave it a "1" were all disgruntled, fired grips and gophers that totally have it in for David mamet.

moron.

SO THATS WHY THE RATING IS SO HIGH?

THANKS FOR LETTING PEOPLE KNOW...they deserve it.

Usually when I see a 7.0+ rating, I get a little excited about watching the movie. 9/10 times, I'm left pleased.

After watching this movie, I WAS DISGUSTED. First movie I b*tched about not deserving to be rated this high.

Leeds, its the only way to explain it.

reply

well im not a crewmember but i also gave 10

^because your a loser ? oh wait, let me guess..its because.......your a loser? HAHA.

Did you guys notice all the reviews? 10 stars and the praise this movie got? All by the people who were associated with this movie. Its the only way they can get some sort of publicity. Biased reviews and ratings. I guess thats what some promoters are using IMDB for.

Being that your best argument is 'you're a loser' I don't expect someone of your intellectual capability to understand a masterpiece like this. The movie had depth, it was beautiful and it made you think and woke up many emotions inside you which a movie is supposed to. 9\10

reply

right like no other movies out there make you think, have depth and can stir up emotions

LOL LOSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR DOSHE84

reply

Yes, there are plenty of such movies, which are all great movies, as this one! Your point?

reply

I agree with you completely...Had to have been people who worked on the movie and their family members...Such a dissapointing film could have been so much better

reply

exactly,

how is this movie have a 7.0 rating

reply

Please go away Troll. I can understand why those people gave the film a 10...they liked it that much. Are you really that dumb? It's a subjective rating system; not Rotten Tomatoes.

Here's what I don't understand:

Why do you waste all your time commenting about a movie you never liked? What purpose does it give your life? In the book Zen in the Martial Arts there's a good story about Bruce Lee with regards to your problem. I suggest you read it. If you're as smart as you think you are, it shouldn't take more then an hour to read it.

I actually loved this film. It has similar elements to Kurosawa films, Westerns, and old films like The Set-Up, The Harder they Fall, and On the Waterfront. It's also comparable to Cinderella Man and Million Dollar Baby. I bet you've never seen one of these films, except maybe Cinderella Man. And if you've never seen a film by Kurosawa, you're missing out tremendously.

This film was great, I find it somewhat suspect that so many seem to be going out of their way to say this film is bad, like it's their job to make it look bad or something.

I see very little reasoning from these people, most of the posts saying it's bad I would just not take very seriously since they have no reasoning and most border on trollishness.

Primarily the problem people had was, they assumed it was a martial arts film and then found it was a film where you had to think and listen, when they just wanted to sit there and watch some fight scenes. Just because it wasn't what they thought the film was does not make it bad, this film is in fact very very good and I found myself thinking about what was going on and what was going to happen and then the ending was just fantastic.

Highly recommend this film to anyone who doesn't mind thinking about what they are watching.
