Goran hasn't been on ER for a long time. Is he leaving the series?

Eventually. He's just taken a break, and will be back next week.

I think he is leaving the series. In fact, last night (12/6/07) was ER's 300th episode, and I think 2008 will be the last year for ER.

He is leaving, just not yet. S14 may not be the final season if the writer's strike doesn't allow for all 22 planned episodes to be filmed. John Wells is negotiating for a 15th season

15th Season is on, GV will be visiting in S 15 accoding to new articles about s 15 already.
