Total dogsh**

Even as an absolute non-fan of Celine, I have to say this piece of junk is a hugely manipulative and factually 200% inaccurate cash-in.

As a Quebecer, I feel thoroughly offended by the awfully stereotypical portrayal of our nation. The dinner scene where the whole family starts singing ''J'ai du bon Tabac'' (the only damn song is french!!) is essentially a joke. A real *beep* joke.

As a film student, this film is also a insult. It's thoroughly idiotic and lazy, it bears no real narrative drive other than 'she was rejected, she became famous'. And it makes her career look it was all centered around her and Rene... uuuh, WHAT? Sorry, a boatload of people helped her, wrote songs for her, controlled her image, etc. etc. etc.

I saw this high as hell, and it was only all the more disturbing because of it. Among friends, we started laughing first... then it all turned into slackjawed horror. Oh, the horror.

Yeah, I watched it twice. First to actually see what it was about and the second time to laugh my ass off. Really craptacular movie, so fugen bad! I felt embaressed watching it. If that thing with Rene and Celine is true, that´s really bloody gross!
