alot of questions...

Ive watched this film about 10 times already and I have heaps of questions regarding scenes from the film.

Did celine really get hit by a car when she was younger?

Did the families bar really burn down?

Wasnt she approached by James Horner after she married Rene? (to sing for Titanic)

The song sung at Eurovision, celine sung in french. Has she ever recorded this version or was it composed just for the film? It goes something like "dont leave me now..." Same with the song that goes "like a masterpiece..." sung by the younger celine in the movie.

Also, does anyone know where I can download a copy of Behind the Music feat. Celine Dion. Ive seen random clip of it on youtube where she speaks about her and Rene but I want to see the whole interview.

Thanks, Love Celine!

Yeah, I think this movie had a lot of discrepancies, as well, and to be honest it sorta ruined it for me. The movie shows Rene proposing to Celine after the meeting with James Horner, but in reality, they were engaged in 1991 and married in 1994-- LONG before I would imagine they began recording music for Titanic. I know they may have kept their relationship a secret for a while, but I thought by the time they got married in '94 that it was common knowledge. At least, that's when I found out. And I know that was a long time before any mention of a little movie called Titanic.

Also, at the end, they show Celine singing "My Heart Will Go On" and they play little flashbacks or forwards of other highlights of her life, and it's confusing because it seems like she's performing that song concurrently with the birth of Rene-Charles, but since he was born in 2001, well... the whole thing was just very confusing to me.

I thought the actress did a pretty good job of portraying Celine. I'm an enormous Celine fan, and I guess she's really the closest thing I've seen to Celine, but the voice (I know it wasn't her, but Trish O'Brien) either way, I think to a true fan, it doesn't even come close. Still there were little mannerisms that Celine has (facial expressions, hand gestures, etc.) and the actress captured many of those.

Probably the biggest disappointment for me of this whole film, though, was the lack of accents! Are you kidding me?! Rene practically didn't even have one, and Celine's English was just waaayyy too clear.

People keeping giving this movie rave reviews, and honestly, I just wasn't that impressed.

Oh, and Celine was hit by a car, but it was when she was about 2, not 5.

Based on Celine's holiday special, she showed the viewers where the house that she grew up in was and that it was no longer there. As for the bar, I do not know.

My Heart Will Go On was recorded and was going to be released on Celine's Let's Talk About Love cd, whether or not it was going to be used in Titanic. James Cameron originally did not want a theme song or vocals in the movie, but when Horner had him listen to Celine, Cameron loved it.

Celine was married on December 17th 1994. Titanic went into production in 1995. Filming started in May of 1996 and lasted 160 days.
