I thought the same thing. His voice sounded similar as well, along will the few things he said. For instance, when the one character suggests that he left the tapes so that people would be impressed by how good he was at killing, the camera man asks "Are you?"
I like this theory a lot.
Ah. I just chalked up the "Are you?" line to bad writing. Interesting.
shareBut her mother would have recognized him as she had seen him before.
shareDoubt it. Research shows that physical and emotional trauma can directly affect your memory. Some of this memory loss may be a temporary way to help you cope with the trauma, and some of this memory loss may be permanent due to a severe brain injury or severe psychological trauma.
We have what we seek, it is there all the time, and if we give it time, it will make itself known.
Her mother would have recognized him.
But most of all, you can't base this on the fact Cheryl was saying, "I don`t know what you want me to say. For about 8 years now, she's had no identity, no opinion, no sense of self. Why would she suddenly feel comfortable expressing herself, in front of a camera no less?
We've met before, haven't we?
Killer's are manipulative.
shareNo. It was obvious that he was the killer. Have you ever heard of Stockholm syndrome? Christ, open a book.

Simply because I don't mention Stockholm Syndrome, don't assume I don't know of it. I agree it plays an important part in the film, but this interview was not conducted by the killer.
In your opinion, it was, and it was obvious because.... Stockholm Syndrome?
