Teacher?

How can this guy use public schools to proselytize? He is badgering young kids into following his distorted logic. Every time he starts demeaning people, he only shows how weak his position is. Just because you believe it enough to yell it, does not mean it automatically becomes truthful. He is conducting church services, bordering on cult followings in the school classroom. At least he understands that he is only a circus barker. Hopefully not to many people will get hurt by listening to him. He proclaims this is the Catholic teachings, but was working with Assembly of God Church and only taking advantage of impressionable kids.

What's wrong with presenting a differant viewpoint on Religion to kids in an acaemic setting. Broadening the mind is what public education is for right? Nobody is forcing these kids to accept what he says as truth.

ColonelDEH Do you know why most religions start "teaching" their views to kids at a young age??? It's because kids are a lot more likely to believe what is said to them, and a lot less likely to question authority. So having some John Cena wannabe preaching to kids in a public setting is a problem. If it was in a Catholic school whatever that's fine, that's where the parents sent the kid to, to learn about their religion. But not everybody follows the same religion in public school if they believe in any religion at all. Religion should stay out of public schools.

Don't soar so high, your wings will melt.

Im pretty sure he only preached at catholic schools, and if he did preach at a public school it was most certainly optional for the students.

He taught at Paramus Catholic High School (I was a student of his). As for his preaching methods, I found them very successful because he made god seem "cool," if you get what I'm saying. Trust me, he's a hell of a lot more interesting to listen to than any of those evangelical nut-jobs that you see in the news. He's very captivating and entertaining.

If he *was* preaching at a public school I would completely agree with you, but he wasn't.

As for his "distorted logic," well I agree with you because I'm an atheist.
