At the very end when Gene returns to his office, he walks in and shuts the door. There's a reflection in the glass of someone, but i couldn't make out who it was. When he turns around, there's no one standing there, but moments later a new guy walks into the squad room yelling about his office and asking for his ipod.
Who was the person in the reflection?
"Fraaaank. FRANK! Get my jean bin. Susie wants my jeans."
"No she doesn't."
It was his young self - a reflection/reminder of the young man he was when he'd died.

Have literally just finished the final ep'.....It's definitely the "Young" Gene reflected in the Office door glass...A reminder that he is dead and the facilitator or conduit for helping dying/in coma coppers.....The bloke busts through the door asking who has his iphone and thus the wheel begins to turn again! I loved it!!
