Hell - the lifts were going down deep deep down. Chris Skelton was having dreams about Viv who had gone to Hell. He said that he could see hi all alone surrounded by flames.

sounded like Hell.

Remember when the door to the lift opens and he orders them to get in? You briefly hear desperate screams emanating from below.

Hell for sure.

Did anyone else love the quite literal translation of it all? I mean, the heating in Keats office - it being very hot in there? I thought that was funny.

I liked the fact that 'Club Tropicana' was his favorite song. Clearly, a sign of Old Scratch.

I didn't catch the bit about the heating until the second time around, after we knew Keats was the devil. Likewise when Keats mentioned that he knew the Bible practically word for word, due to his background. Should have been a dead giveaway.

In the elevator scene, it was heavily implied that it was hell. Chris even mentioned having a dream of Viv burning in hell.

Why didn't he sound proof the lift if he was trying to trick them into stepping onto the lift to hell its best to try to drown out the tortured screams coming from below

really ? you had to ask ? it was lovely layering of information, making them question whether to go and work with Keats in basement, where he was promising the world, but the truth couldnt be hidden. i loved that last bit and then when gene hunt got them all safely into Heaven (the pub) .. turned around knowing he had done his job and knowing there were more souls to save...
