I was roaming through the script for the final episode of Ashes from the monastic website and I found the exact date of death for each characters. If anyone is interested here they are :
Ray : September 15th 1977.
Chris : February 14th 1975.
Shaz : April 19th 1996.
funny, they might have never met. the only thing that i don't get is that Gene was killed in the 50s? but how come he changed his looks while the others in his "world" stayed the same.

Shaz : April 19th 1996.
I took it she arrived in 1980 not long after Gene took over Fenchurch East Police Station, or possibly early 1981 before Alex arrives. Those years may mean something to Shaz, but we're never told what they are.

For Sam it's when daddy left, for Alex it's when mummy and daddy die, for PC Summers it's when he's bought off to turn a blind eye.
We don't know when Ray, Chris or Shaz (or Gene for that matter) turn up in the Limbo continuity, or what pivotal event happened for them then.

So how come Shaz isn't in limbo in 1973 when Sam goes back? She dies before Sam. What, was she just waiting around, twiddling her thumbs waiting for Alex to arrive decades later?
