...By Arthur Layton? Does anybody know why Arthur Layton shot Alex, I know it wasn't a coincidence due to the whole thing that Arthur knew and was helped by Alex's father back in the '80's, but I can't figure out why 20-odd years later he decided to go after her?

I think Layton didn't get the answer he wanted from Evan which irritated him, as was Alex, so he shot her out of frustration & anger
