So what was it like to work on this movie, rippleheat?

reply

Actually, as far as I know, Rippleheat has NOTHING to do with this film, as I did. But the better question IS what is it like to have absolutely NO life but other than to be akin to a stalker to knock this movie consistently like yourself Mooses..a WAY more interesting inquiry.

reply

Haha yeah, a few posts every three or four months means I have no life. Yep.

The most interesting inquiry is why you're so insecure about your work that you feel the need to respond to some anonymous guy on the Internet.

reply

Actually I'm quite secure about it thank you very much and I certainly don't mind getting people's opinion both good and bad. But with much more to do than go and check myself, I am quite certain the 10-15 posts, continually bashing this film and those who have a different opinion than yours on it, EVEN before you even saw the film, if you ever did at all, are I'm sure more than you have commented on any other board here. So there's some sort of personal vendetta, and that's quite sad.

reply

It's not so much a vendetta as me coming across a movie with a title as lame as "iMurders" and deciding to have a little fun with it. It would have been only one or two posts but it turned into 10-15 because you and Jeff insist on replying and trying to insult me, which is funny because you guys aren't very good with comebacks.

I'm taking two minutes every now and then to crack jokes at the expense of a movie with a lame title and you're taking two minutes to get all worked up about it. You're at a disadvantage because you actually have something tangible for me to make fun of (the movie) while I'm just some anonymous guy on the internet whose pseudonym contains a grammatical error. If anything in this silly tiff is sad, it's that you're using your valuable time as a movie director to fight an unwinnable battle with some guy who comes to IMDb only when there's nothing happening on Facebook.

reply

Some people waste time on message boards talking about movies, while others put their money where there mouths are and actually make one (or two).

"taking two minutes every now and then to crack jokes at the expense of a movie"???!!! Christ, you LIVE on these message boards! Over 70 posts this year alone.

You are an ass clown.

reply

DVD release is Sept 22

reply

Yeah, 70 posts over the course of six months means I live on these message boards.

I'm sorry for insulting your movie, ToppsyKretts. I'm sure your best boy work was fantastic. But every time you try and insult me, it only makes you and your colleagues look bad.

Keep it coming.

No it's not Sept 22nd..roughly a month later..but thanks!

reply

OK - Amazon has it up on their site as that date, thats why I mentioned it.

reply

Really? Hmm, interesting...maybe that's a pre-order type of deal..but the release date for sure is in October, but thanks for the heads up and hope you decide to check it out!

reply

I will indeed check it out, it looks great :-)

Yeh its weird about Amazon - they sometimes do this though and eventually amend it to the correct date. I was all it excitd about seeing it in Sept but I guess I'll just have to wait till October now ;-) Thanks for letting me know and will let you know what I think.

I dont understand how you guys liked this movie?

It was like a copy of the game of clue but with a technology theme. It was predictable, the acting was horrible (decent sometimes, but overall poor), and the production quality was far from impressive.

I read the reviews here before I checked it out thinking it would be half-way decent with all the praise some of the reviewers were giving it but the movie left a lot to be desired.

Anyone thinking about watching it, if you were extremely bored like me.. I guess it's fine to give it a shot (I'd recommend taking a nap instead). Otherwise, avoid this trash.

reply

I have to agree wholeheartedly - the acting killed it for me. One scene in particular gives away the twist, once again because of the over the top acting; the "gag line" was not original to begin with...
I guess the reason my feedback is so negative is that the image of a fresh, new horror flick with a slightly convincing premise managed to sink down to rehashing clichés and falling into every booby trap set up in the genre.
The only people who deserve praise are the ones conveying the image of what this movie is, concocting a fallacious idea in marketing to come across as an enjoyable flick, something which this is not.

It's bad bad, Manos the Hands of Fate bad!
That stupid stuttering part meant to be suspenseful blew it. It was like watching Manos all over again.
The over the top acting by the "landlady" realy gives you the feeling it was geared towards 5 years olds to figure out.
The actors staring at each other unconfortably forgeting lines and stammering through them fidgeting with thier hands makes you feel like its a junior high play.
The psychiatrist scenes were not nessasary.

Edward Wood could have done better and when Candyman and Lando Calrissian were added to the film it felt like an Ed Wood movie wiith Ligousi.

Funny thing is the 50 shills that gave this movie a "10" rating, as if this was as good as "The Godfather" or Titanic"....Jesus!

This movie sucked!

reply

Whole heartedly agree. After reading the reviews I decided to check it out.

What a waste of time, totally predictable and full of cliches. Who the hell would give a movie like this a 10 ? A guy got drilled through the skull and ten seconds later screamed for help down the webcam lol. The acting was a JOKE !!! Seriously how hard is it to find some half decent actors, I'd have done a better job than the main characters. Absolutely awful.
