The ending truly impacts a movies score. (Spoilers)

I started watching this movie, and developed my view of it as time progressed, by considering loops and progress in the movie. I liked what I was seeing.

First of all, the 'return' of Rusty and Amelia *(apparantly Emily) left open an entirely different, and entirely preferable route that the directors should have taken. Nevertheless, as the movie progressed towards the end, It seemed more and more as if it was thrown together.

I was ultimately disappointed when they decided to make Rusty and Amelia both ghosts. The scene outside of the diner sat the entire latter half of the film up so that it could have been more of a way for Rusty and Amelia (in a relationship from the looks of it) to be setting Josh up so he would realize he COULD move on, or at the least, truth that Amelia and Rusty abandoned Josh so they could be together... But the movie ended on a dark tone instead, making Amelia=Emily, and as said they turned out to be ghosts, and Josh killed himself just when he seemed promising to make a comeback in life.

That's how this movie earned 4.9 stars instead of at least 8. It's ending was a downer and came on much too quick, skipped around, and slammed shut the door on possibilities that could have made it decently realistic. Truly sad they chose what they did. A movie is almost always defined by it's ending. This movie, was a victim of a bad one.

Still sad :(

I think it would have been better with the soundtrack though. The music didn't move me a bit.
