I really love the Barenaked Ladies and Sarah Mclachlan version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and was really surprised to hear it. Made me happy.

Haha - I just watched this movie last night and this song really stood out for me so I came here to see if anyone else thought it was a brilliant version?
I was surprised to see the lead male actor had a song in the movie too.
Cute movie - I hope they do a sequel.
I love it. It's been on my Christmas playlist for years but it very few people know of it.
I thought it was cute as well. It was very formulaic without being too Hallmarkish.
I’m Australian and we haven’t really had all the Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies here until we got Netflix and all the streaming services a few years ago - so I have only just started going down the rabbit hole of them.
So far this one and ‘Holidate’ have been my faves.
I am watching ‘Dash & Lily’ today and the music in that is great too - especially given it’s teenage driven, although it’s an 8 episode series so probably doesn’t count as a traditional Christmas movie?
