Who would have been better in the role of "The Man"

Personally I think Sean Bean would have done phenomenal. Russell Crowe is just not intimidating to me with his pudgy look.

Crowe looks more realistic, Sean Bean looks like a movie bad guy.

He was perfect. Man next door look, yet could be instantly intimidating.

Maybe not better, but Gerard Butler, Mel Gibson, Ray Liotta, Keifer Sutherland, Stephen Lang and Bryan Cranston could've all been equally menacing and done a good job.

Sean Bean's great in whatever he does, but I can't see him in this role.

Kiefer Sutherland played a similar role in Phone Booth, with the whole ruining/attacking someone until they give in to their crazed moral demands.
