Looks awful

How did this get greenlit?

Hi babyfat

Are you kidding me? I'm watching the trailer now... Looks great!

This is going to be fun... Falling Down meets Lakeview Terrace... With a bit of that Disturbia vibe (same writer)...

reply

I would've enjoyed more of a "Here's Johnny!" scene.

reply

Does look bad....so much so that people might want another lockdown to protect them from trash movies like this. Also the size of Russell Crowe is fucking disgusting.

reply

I was hoping it was more like a Falling Down storyline but Crowe is just a psychotic killer from the get go.

reply

Looks good to me. A great way to kill 90 minutes of your life

reply

My wife and I just got back from the theater and we loved it. Just check your brain at the door, then sit back for a fast, suspenseful 90 minutes.

reply

Anyone visiting a theater during this pandemic checked his brain out anyway.

reply

Wow...are you actually stalking people on here? Anyone who posts that they have been to the cinema...there you are.

And guess what? I just visited the cinema to watch Tenet. Feel fine.

reply

It's a slim chance you're infected. But more chance than had you not gone. Hope you're fine and had a good time.

reply

Oh thank you Sir. Coming from you, that means a great deal...

reply

With the tiny crowds at the theater--and I can assure you, they are indeed tiny--you're far more at risk of catching covid at the grocery store than you are at the movies.

The theater is probably one of the safest places to be right now.

reply

Ah, but you still need to go to the grocer anyway, right?

reply

I suppose now many stores have delivery, or at least a pick-up option that requires as little interaction as possible, but most people (myself included) aren't interested in that shit. We'd rather just brave the crowds.

Going to the movies though, I can tell you, since covid started, I've never seen more than 10 or so people in an auditorium that seats 500. If you go to any restaurant, or go to the mall, or ride on any city bus, or really go anywhere to do anything, I have to think it's likely more dangerous than going to the movies.

reply

I'm a fan, so will check it out.

reply

Electric or paper?

reply

Nuclear (;-p)

reply

Well it was okay at first. Then it started going too over the top and nasty with the way Butler's character was and the film just totally lacked any subtlety. It wasn't hugely boring or anything just low-brow. I hated the way the characters kept verbally spelling out exactly what was supposed to be happening (or "might happen").

I paid for this but it wasn't too much fortunately... lol

reply

He's not Butler, he's Gladiator.

reply

Thinking about it... who WOULD win in a match between Maximus and King Leonidas, both in their prime?

reply

It's exploitation of roadrage--a bunch of roadrage films have already been done, but this is worth seeing for Russell Crowe.

reply

I enjoyed it. It was a nice diversion from the bullshit of life, and I think we all have felt at least a little of what Crowe's character felt in this movie.

It was pretty well-directed and the suspense was maintained at a high level throughout, Crowe's performance is excellent and really sells you on him going full-psycho, and there are some really solid, non-CGI car crashes.
