Awesome Film; Awesome Human Being

Just saw the film at a Landmark Theatre here in Seattle and gotta say it's one Powerful story about one humble man that made and is making a difference.
I don't see how anyone could walk away from this and at least think about what is going on in this (US) country now and in the past and the ironic Deja Vu all over again.
It explores more than "just" the peace-nik side of Mr Seeger, but also the humanitarian side. Not to mention of course the music he has brought to the hearts and minds of millions of people.
Go see it if you can, or rent it when it comes out, even if you don't like folk music. It's more than that - it's deeper than the Big Muddy and it'll stick with you too.

I've been a fan of Pete Seeger for a long time, I learned a lot about him that I never knew (for example, his work teaching schoolchildren.) We have to thank Toshi, without her support I don't think Pete would have been as successful as he was.

The 1960s & 1970s were my heyday. The trilogy of Pete Seeger: Power of Song, Talk to Me and Across the Universe tells the story of my life. I feel I could step through the screen into the movie and be part of it. They're all wonderful.

I agree that if it was not for Toshi as his anchor, Pete would not have been as successful as he still is. She is his anchor, his manager, his wife, and lifelong companion. Toshi is one great human being. Kudos to both Pete AND Toshi, for being the people they are.

I love how this movie gave Toshi her due respect as the pillar and partner in Pete Seeger's life. I also liked hearing from the Seeger kids and grandkids. Getting their points of view of Peet as well seeing which ones carried on in the folk family business.

Well rounded movie for those of us who weren't around when Pete Seeger was most active and influential.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
